Let them know how you learned about the most significant new Christmas album since Bing Crosby. For some of you, write us and we’ll tell you who Bing Crosby was! What we can tell you is that Der Bingle had a huge promotion machine to help him along in all of his records. We don’t. We have--you. And frankly, we believe that having you is a lot stronger than having some record company executive whose attention isn’t really with a couple of oddball old farts like us.
But we have a message. Your message. The message is that Huey Lewis might have had it right after all when he sang, “It’s Hip to be Square.” We don’t think it’s corny or stooopid or out of place at all to be patriotic or show the love of our country that all real Americans have in their hearts. If that’s out of place, then let those who think so go fly a kite. (we’d use stronger language, but we’re trying to “Keep it ‘G’” here, ok?) When our brave military put their lives on the line in defense of all that we hold dear, it’s not corny to honor them. It’s the right thing to do. We believe that to our core, folks, and we think that there’s far more of “us” around than anyone would care to admit.
In loving appreciation of the countless Americans who have, and continue to serve in the Armed Forces and those who gave their life for their country. Your sacrifices will never be forgotten. We look forward to the day you come home.
